New Record!

I have set a new record for not posting - 3 months! The beauty of blogger is that I can go back and post date so I am starting from my most recent post of December something and trying to work my way forward at least with pictures. Between juggling the kiddo, working entirely too much, completing our most recent money pit and trying not to have kiddo #2 come early at 6 months, life has been moving way too fast. Yep - I am finally out of the closet we are preggers with kiddo #2 as most of you know by this point. That is if not everyone has given up on me and my belated updates. We held off on telling until we were about 6 months in January and things are going well! More on that later as I have not caught up since xmas. So my new posts will follow the pics that I have that are worth posting.

We traveled up to Arkansas for xmas this year which was quite a trip. Addie in the car for 6-9 hours each way was a challenge but she did impressively well. The portable DVD player saved us although it only bought about 30 minutes to an hour each way but that time was needed. She loved playing with her cousins. Her older cousins spoiled her with new big stuffed animals - especially Tigger who likes to travel with us everywhere now. Addie throws a fit when he cannot sit on her lap with her in the stroller when we go running. Despite the three month lapse in posts, her temper is still in full force. She was also taken with her new cousin who looks just like his mommy. Here are a few pics.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5....

I figured that it must have been about a month since I have updated because I have been feeling behind and sure enough it has. This month has been full of changes. Addie is growing up way too fast. It is amazing the rate that they learn at this age. If only I could learn 10% of what she does a day! A few weeks ago, we were in Target and I started counting to ten - not because she was in trouble but just to do something to prevent her from screaming and wanting out of the cart! I went through a few rounds and on about the third round stopped at 5 and she picked up where I left, went up to ten and said "yeah!" We tried a few more times, stopping at different numbers and she would pick up wherever I left off, invariably with a yeah. We are working on our abc's now and she is close. What else? She is fascinated with the new little potty in the bathroom and thinks it's very funny to sit on it and stand on it - even peed in it twice which Doug was not nearly as fascinated with that as I was. We'll see if that new trick continues. She now can call each of us by name, says please and thank you fairly often. We are working on kisses, hugs, and not drooling! Majority of her pictures has a big wet mark on the front as you can tell in past pictures. She still has a temper which I think is here to stay. Girly knows what she wants.
