Preggers

We are officially pregnant again! Actually I am already 32 weeks along! I had intended on posting earlier but for a variety of reasons we waited until mid January to announce and next thing you know it is March. Time flies when you are working too much and trying to keep up with a 18, 19, 20 month old. Considering it took us a couple of years to get pregnant with Addie, you can imagine our suprise when after a month we were pregnant with our second. I did not expect it so soon but I think the age difference will be great for Addie, although trying for us for a few years. The pregnancy has gone well so far - no morning sickness, not too sleepy, no aching back. I have made up for it though by being constantly sick since November with multiple rounds of bronchitis, the flu, you name it.

The baby has blessed me with early contractions which were fairly regular at 6 months. This started after Addie and I took a trip by ourselves to North Carolina. That is the last time I will travel with her by myself until she is at least 2. The scene on the plane where you see some mis-behaved child with the parent that can't control her kid - that was me. Addie was in the middle of the isle flailing on the ground crying for about half of the trip. After about 10 minutes, you just give up trying and let her go. When we got home from that trip, my contractions were 3 minutes apart. I have been threatened with bed rest but so far only threats. I don't listen very well. The baby at 28 weeks was estimated at 3.5 lbs so we are sitting at about 5.5 now. If I make it to 40 weeks we are looking at a 9-10 lb kid. So, needless to say, I am not opposed to early delivery if the baby is healthy.

This pregnancy is a first for Doug and Addie. Doug is amazed that my belly can get any bigger and humors me when I make him watch my tummy endlessly to see if it will move. Of course the baby moves when he is not looking or takes his hand off my tummy, but it is so nice having him home for this one. Addie does not understand it I don't think, except to say "belly" and "baby in there" as she lifts up my shirt (regardless of whether or not we are in public). She then says the same thing about her belly and the baby in there. We'll see how she does when the baby comes home. Given the poking, knee'ing, and crawling over by belly that she does now, this kiddo does not know what he is in for in the real world.

Here are a few pics of the growing buda at 15, 25 and 28 weeks.
